Therapy for Relationship Issues with Friends and Coworkers

Happiness begins here.

Most people don’t think about therapy for issues with friends and coworkers, but therapy can be very effective in helping to resolve conflict and find solutions to issues that come up in these types of relationships.

From common disagreements to feelings of betrayal, work and friend relationships can come with a lot of interpersonal conflict.

Maybe a coworker is making you feel powerless and you are unsure how to change things. Or maybe your feel unmotivated to find a solution.

Maybe you are going through a “friend breakup” and you feel like no one understands what you are going through, or like your emotions are getting harder to control.

Do you often feel anxious, resentful, or powerless?

Do any of the following resonate with you?

  • You have a friend who dismisses you, berates you, tries to manipulate you, or competes with you for attention from others.

  • You work with gossipy coworkers or have friends who are excessively gossipy.

  • You’ve been ghosted by a friend.

  • You work with a coworker who is two-faced, a know-it-all, an instigator, or overly chatty.

  • You are experiencing jealousy with a friend or coworker.

You deserve to feel seen and heard

If any of these are true for you, know that you are not alone.

If you are apprehensive about talking to your friend or coworker about what you’re experiencing, therapy might be a good place for you.

Therapy provides a space for you to talk freely about what is bothering you, without the fear of being judged.

It is possible to feel better

Therapy can help you:

  • Set healthy boundaries with friends.

  • Feel included, supported and cared for by your friends.

  • Learn how to stop letting your negative coworkers get to you.

How Therapy Works

Individual Therapy for Relationship Issues consists of 50-minute, one-on-one sessions that help you work through your concerns.

In addition to listening, I will ask questions and provide guidance based on my experience, I play an active role. Here’s how it will work step-by-step:

The Process of Therapy

01.

Overall, you can think of the consultation as a free-flowing conversation through which we start getting to know each other.

I’ll invite you to share more about yourself and we can also talk about what’s worked or not worked for you in the past.

Through hearing your story, I will start to get a picture of what your challenges are.
